Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What if my pet doesn’t sit still or cooperate?
That’s totally okay! I’ve worked with all kinds of animals, from wiggly puppies to shy cats. I’ll take the time to help your pet feel comfortable and safe. I have plenty of tricks (and treats!) to capture their personality, even if they’re on the move.
Q: Can I include more than one pet?
Yes, and I love multi-pet sessions! Just let me know ahead of time so I can plan accordingly and make sure we have enough time and space for everyone.
Q: What should I bring to the session?
Bring your pet’s favorite treats or toys, any special outfits or accessories you’d like them to wear, and anything that helps them feel comfortable. I’ll have some props and goodies too, but familiar items from home can really help!
Q: Where do the sessions take place?
I offer both natural light outdoor sessions and in-home studio sessions, depending on what works best for you and your pet. We’ll chat beforehand to figure out the perfect spot.
Q: My pet is elderly or has special needs – can you still photograph them?
Absolutely. I specialize in creating a calm, stress-free experience for pets of all ages and abilities. These sessions are often incredibly meaningful, and I take extra care to honor your pet’s comfort and story.
Q: Can I be in the photos with my pet?
Of course! Whether you want just a few snuggly shots together or a full-on human-and-pet session, I’d love to capture your bond. Just let me know what you have in mind.
Q: Do you photograph pets who are nervous, shy, or reactive?
Yes, absolutely. I have over a decade of experience working with animals and understand that every pet is unique. I’ll tailor the session to your pet’s comfort level and never force a pose or situation they aren’t comfortable with.
Q: How long does a session usually take?
Most sessions last between 45 minutes to 1.5 hours, depending on your pet’s energy and comfort. I keep things relaxed so we can go at your pet’s pace.
Q: How far in advance should I book?
I recommend booking at least 2–4 weeks in advance, especially during busy seasons. However, if you're hoping for something sooner, feel free to reach out – I might have a last-minute spot open!
Q: What happens after the session?
You’ll receive a proof gallery to select your favorite images. Once you’ve made your picks, I’ll edit and polish them up before delivering your final gallery. You’ll also have the option to order prints, albums, or wall art if you’d like.
